VASS "Flower Children"

This series of Hearts is most likely from the latest version.

The cards measure 44 by 66 mm. The designs on the courts are exactly the same as on the Hearts suit in the previous decks. Here too they are set against a soft yellow background within a brown outline.

Although there's no documentation about this deck in our books on playing cards, there are some indications for dating the deck as the latest version.
First of all there is the use of 4 indices. Secondly, this specific tax stamp on the Ace of Hearts was in use only for two years: between 1929 and 1931.

The number 90 on the tax stamp refers to the city where the cards were produced: Altenburg.

Just like in the previous versions the 7 of Hearts only shows the "B" logo.

On the left a picture at 200%.

Other courts are pictured at 80%

7 of Hearts at 60%.

This version probably comes from the same period as the second deck on the previous page, ca. 1925. Cards measure 59 by 85 mm.

It is the only version that was made in an "adult" size.
