PIN-UP'S & EROTICA
-89-
|
This deck was published by Alexander Lutkovski from Novosibirsk,
Russia. This publisher has produced many decks, often with erotic
designs by Russian artists, some with redrawn reproductions of famous
erotic decks like Philibert's Casanova deck and some with images
from WWII propaganda decks. He has also produced his own line of Coca
Cola decks. |

For this deck the publisher must have rounded up pictures of all the nudes that Modigliani has ever produced. Probably from one or more books, as the printing resolution is high. He advertised the deck as "pin-up", so it was probably rather the nude than the artistic aspect that inspired him for this publication. This deck could have been in the Art&Cards section, had it not been for the back design. It's a bit disrespectful to the artist to use a calendar as basic design and this underlines the pin-up/erotic intention to this publication. |

The deck consists of 52 cards and no less than 6 jokers.
