PIN-UP'S & EROTICA

We bought the deck on Ebay from a Polish seller. The deck was obviously made there, as the indices are Polish and the deck consists of 24 cards, which is not an unusual number for Polish decks. Besides the courts there are only 10's and 9's in such decks.

So there's very little that we can say about this deck. It's an educated guess at best, but we think that the deck dates from the early 1960's.
The cards have a plain red back and the card is not very thick. Still the deck wasn't printed, but actual b/w photo's were used. The red in the suit signs was later applied, probably with a marker pencil. The deck is in poor condition, but for us the first one from a formerly Eastern European country. We have seen a pretty similar Russian version (same lay-out, but with different pictures and Russian indices), but that went too high for us. Still, with the new EU members in Eastern Europe we hope that more of these decks will turn up.
