PIN-UP'S & EROTICA
-45-
This deck was published in England by Mayall Press from
London in 1954. Both the design of the joker as well as that of the backs show
great resemblance to the decks which were published as "Art Studies"
decks in the US by the Novelties
MFG & Sales Co. from St. Louis.
The deck came in a blank carton box with an English tax band
wrapped around it, covering most of the surface.

The deck consists of 52 cards, 1 joker, 1 extra joker and an extra card. The back design shows a wolf's head. Although the general setting is the same, the wolf has a different design, than in the American "Art Studies" deck.

The text on the extra card was probably added to the deck by the publisher to emphasize the arty character of the deck in order to avoid legal action.
