This extra card comes with the deck here below. The card shows the complete production of the Sa Rui playing card company from Shanghai, China. This company has been active since 2005. As you can see, they have chosen for four different series of publications. The first (0) series can be described as "famous women", the second (1) as "Chinese Zodiac signs" and the third (2) as "Chinese legendary tales". In all these series 4 different decks have been published so far. But in the fourth series (3) a total of 13 decks has been published until now. This series can be described as "Girls". There are a few photographic decks in the series (301, 302 and 313), but most of them show drawn designs. A good number of these are based on the classic "pin-up" girl as we know them from the American decks from the 1950's. The other decks are rather fantasy decks with scarcely dressed girls than pin-up decks in the strict sense. However, the Sa Rui company publishes them as "pin-up girls playing cards", so who are we to deny them access to this xpo. The earlier published decks are represented on our CD-r "Pin-Up's & Erotica", but in this xpo we will show the ones that were published in 2008 (see pages 4, 7 and 10). Except for maybe 2 decks, all the designs were done by Chinese artists. We're not sure, but believe that on the extra card decks 307 - 312 have the name of the artist in capitals at the end. There are different styles used. A few are getting close to the "manga" style decks, that are popular in Japan. Others are close to the classic designs or are placed in a fantasy world. The deck here below was printed by the Sa Rui company and published as "Pin-Up Girls" or "No 312" in their 300-series of pin-up decks. All the girls are presented as elves, fairies or butterflies. |
