S.A. from Paris has only published a small number of decks in France from the
mid 1950ís to the early 1960ís. We have never collected tarot decks and only
have a few chosen ones, but the Willeb Tarot deck is still somewhere on my wish
Anyway, todayís deck was published by Willeb as Jeu de Bataille Assaut around 1960. It can be used for any kind of card game, but the extra card gives the rules for the La Bataille (the Battle) game. For this game no jokers are required, so the deck comes with 2 blank cards. The courts are drawn in a sort of comic book style and represent the 4 continents. Embellished aces and each of the pip cards has a different illustration.
