The deck was published by Margt Smátt Auglýsingavörur for the National Museum of Iceland in the late 1990's. The deck consists of 52 cards, 2 jokers, an extra card and a leaflet in a carton box. Each card shows a different Icelandic historical or cultural object. The deck has Icelandic indices and the text on the cards is also in Icelandic only. The accompaning leaflet explains the different objects in Danish, German, French and English.
