THE PIPS

In each suit the sevens to tens are plain pips, probably because the number of suit signs leave little room for an illustration. On the other cards a small illustration is printed. The suit signs on the 6's, 5's and 4's are positioned in the same manner. Only on the 3 of Hearts they are positioned in a vertical line, on the other 3's they form a triangle. On the 2's the suit signs in the red suits are placed in a vertical line and in the black suits in a horizontal line.

Just like on the aces the illustrations show children of different age. Some are playing a game, others are playing with a cat, a dog, a hoop, a doll etc.
