Probably published as an advertising deck for the Peter Steines & Sohn coal company after the takeover by the VSS, as the tax stamp is dated by Endebrock as 1931-1936. GER-136: "Vaterländische Spielkarte" (Patriotic playing cards), printed and published by F.A. Lattmann from Goslar in 1915. Designed by Ferdinand Herwig. Complete with 36 cards, all in excellent condition with shiny gold corners, but a previous owner has dropped the box, which fell on one corner. It damaged the box with a creased corner, but also the Spades pip cards with corner creases. Comes in the original box.
